Terms of Use
Use GenAddr for testing, not deception
These terms govern your access to GenAddr, including the website, browser generator, exports, documentation, and public API. By using GenAddr, you agree to use generated data only for legitimate software, QA, demo, educational, and research workflows.
Last updated: June 2026
Generated output is fictitious test data. It is not a source of real identities, real contact details, real card numbers, or deliverable addresses.
You are responsible for what you generate, export, paste into other systems, automate, publish, or share.
We may throttle, block, or investigate use that harms GenAddr, other users, third-party services, or the public.
Acceptance of these terms
If you use GenAddr on behalf of a company, client, school, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the site or API.
Permitted use
You may use GenAddr and its generated output for legitimate test-data workflows, including:
- Testing forms, validation rules, checkout flows, CRM screens, maps, and address parsers.
- Populating staging databases, seed data, prototypes, screenshots, demos, and training environments.
- Learning how address, phone, postal, and test identifier formats differ by country or region.
- Using the public API for reasonable development, QA automation, documentation, and internal tools.
Generated data license
Subject to these terms, you may copy, export, and use generated synthetic output in your own tests, internal systems, demos, documentation, and development workflows. This permission does not transfer ownership of GenAddr's website, code, datasets, design, brand, or API.
Prohibited use
You must not use GenAddr, the API, exports, screenshots, or generated data for:
- Fraud, deception, phishing, spam, harassment, or any unlawful activity.
- Impersonating a real person, household, company, government agency, or payment account.
- Completing identity verification, KYC, age checks, sanctions screening, credit checks, or account recovery.
- Creating, registering, warming, or operating fake, abusive, or deceptive accounts on any service.
- Submitting generated addresses, names, phone numbers, identifiers, or card-like numbers as real information.
- Testing or bypassing another platform's fraud, risk, security, anti-abuse, or verification systems without authorization.
- Scraping, reselling, mirroring, or overloading the service beyond reasonable testing and development needs.
- Violating applicable law, export controls, privacy rules, platform policies, or third-party terms.
API, automation, and rate limits
The public API is designed for reasonable development and testing traffic. You must not overload, disrupt, scan, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls. We may throttle, challenge, block, suspend, or refuse requests that appear abusive, excessive, unauthorized, unlawful, or harmful to GenAddr, Cloudflare, our partners, or other users.
Accuracy, deliverability, and real-world use
GenAddr tries to produce realistic formats and geographically coherent examples, but the data is synthetic. Addresses are not guaranteed to be deliverable, mailable, routable, geocodable, unique, or accepted by any third-party service. Names, emails, phone numbers, national identifiers, tax identifiers, and card-like numbers are test-only values and must not be treated as real credentials, legal identities, or payment instruments.
Third-party services and content
GenAddr may link to third-party websites, display advertising, use analytics providers, rely on hosting and security vendors, and incorporate open reference datasets such as GeoNames. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, services, datasets, ads, or user-submitted workflows.
Intellectual property
GenAddr, the GenAddr name, site design, documentation, software, selection and arrangement of features, and related branding are owned by the site operator or its licensors. You may not copy, frame, sell, sublicense, or present GenAddr as your own service except as allowed by these terms or separate written permission.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
GenAddr is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or acceptance by any third-party system. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or misuse of generated data.
Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for your use of GenAddr and for complying with applicable laws, privacy rules, security requirements, export controls, and third-party terms. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the site operator harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of GenAddr, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person's rights.
Changes, suspension, and contact
We may update these terms, change features, adjust rate limits, or suspend access as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Questions about these terms can be sent to support@genaddr.com.
