What is a China address generator?

A China address generator creates synthetic, format-valid Chinese addresses and test profiles for QA, form validation, checkout testing, demos, and database seed data. All records are fictitious and do not represent a real person or address.

Each record combines a real province, city, and district with a six-digit postal code and a +86 phone number, so the output is internally consistent while remaining synthetic.

China address format

Chinese addresses are ordered largest-to-smallest: province (or municipality), then city, then district, then the street and building number. Written in English they are usually reversed, but the native order starts with the province.

Postal codes are six digits, with the leading digits mapping to a province and region. Because addresses nest province → city → district → street, Chinese data is well suited to testing forms with a deep administrative hierarchy and a numeric six-digit postal field.

QA checklist for China address data

  • 邮编 should be stored as text邮编 values can contain leading zeroes, letters, spaces, or hyphens depending on the country. Treat them as strings in validation, exports, and database seed files.
  • Validate the whole address combinationTest the city, 省/直辖市, 邮编, and phone prefix together. For example, this page can produce 九江市, 江西, 332000, and +86 150 9663 3130.
  • Do not require fields the country does not useKeep optional fields such as county, building, unit, or address line 2 separate from required fields. A valid China test record should not fail because an optional local field is absent.
  • Separate display format from storageDisplay the address in local order for users, but store atomic fields such as street, city, 省/直辖市, and 邮编 separately so search, shipping, and tax logic can work reliably.

Export synthetic address data

Every generated record can be exported as JSON or CSV so it drops straight into your workflow. JSON keeps the full nested structure for API mocks, fixtures, and request bodies; CSV gives you flat columns for spreadsheets, bulk imports, and database seed scripts.

Because the data is synthetic and structurally consistent, it is safe to commit export files to test repositories, load them into staging databases, or replay them in automated suites. Re-run the generator any time you need a fresh batch.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real personal data?

No. Every China record is synthetic test data. Cities, postal codes, and phone prefixes come from real geographic reference data so the output is format-valid and self-consistent, but names, street numbers, and identity fields are randomized and do not refer to any real person or property.

Can I use this for software testing?

Can I export addresses as CSV?

How is this different from real address data?

Real address datasets describe actual households and people. This tool only borrows the structural pieces — valid China city, region, and postal-code formats — and randomizes the rest, so records look realistic for testing without identifying anyone.

Why are Chinese addresses ordered province-first?

Chinese addressing starts with the province and narrows to city, district, and street. The generator preserves this largest-to-smallest order, which is useful for testing internationalized address forms with a deep region hierarchy.
